A car club has taken on a schoolboy with cancer as their mascot and agreed to raise money for him at their meetings.
The group Dirtee South met at Little Groves Holiday Park on Sunday.
Minster five-year-old Oliver Smith, who has the childhood disease neuroblastoma met them there on the day.
Altogether £100 was raised for his appeal through a raffle, collection buckets and the sale of car stickers.
Mum Natalie, of Coral Road, said: “To be honest it’s nice for Oliver because he just loved it. They even gave him a little black hoodie with their logo on the back. He does like a good car.”
She is trying to raise money for treatment he could need – which could cost up to £500,000 – if his condition worsens.
