Youngsters' faces lit up when they opened packs containing symbols, maracas, and drums.

A thousand packs which also have a book and CD were given to Seashells Children and Families' Centre, Rose Street,Sheerness, to distribute to schools on the Island and children at the centre.

The packs were provided by charity Youth Music, which aims to promote music to young people.

Teacher Marian Horton said: “The children are enjoying using the packs and it is a lovely idea.”
