A day of sun and showers in Kent

What a difference a day makes. Or a few hours, if you are talking about the British weather.

This morning the county was bathed in sunshine, lighting up the bright yellow rape fields and seafront on the Isle of Sheppey.

Then the storm clouds moved in, with thunder and torrential showers, which sent anyone who was out, running for cover.

In Tunbridge Wells a lighting bolt even sent a roof up in flames and saw six fire engines called out.

The only saving grace was some wonderful rainbows which appeared as if by magic to add their support to our NHS and frontline workers.
