Police appeal for information after attempted robbery outside Sheerness train station

A man was attacked and his vehicle damaged by a gang in what police are describing as an attempted robbery.

A group of up to 10 youngsters approached the man sat in a black Vauxhall Mokka in Bridge Road, outside Sheerness train station, at about 11.45pm on Sunday, March 8.

A member of the group then demanded money from the victim before reaching in to assault him and damage an internal display screen.

Other members of the group also damaged the vehicle and its windscreen.

Police said no one was hurt and nothing was stolen and, at present, no arrests have been made.
