A Warden man has appeared in court charged with animal cruelty and burglary following a reported cock fight and several break-ins.

Lee Chambers, of Cliff View Gardens, was charged in the early hours of yesterday morning with three counts of burglary in connection with break-ins at outhouses in Westwood Court, Sheldwich, on May 14.

Chambers was also charged with animal cruelty in connection with a reported cock fight in March.

Cock fighting is banned in the UK

He appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody to appear again on a date to be decided.
