Emergency services called to reports man was found unconscious in vehicle at Harty on Sheppey

Emergency services have been called after a man was found unconscious in a vehicle.

Police officers, paramedics and firefighters were sent to Harty Ferry Road in Harty, near Leysdown, on Sheppey, shortly before 12.30pm.

They remain at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "It is reported an unconscious man was found in a vehicle at 12.24pm on Wednesday, June 26.

"South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are also working at the scene."

An ambulance spokesman confirmed it was responding to a "serious incident".

Eyewitnesses said they saw five ambulance rapid response vehicles, three police cars, one fire engine and one fire car heading towards the east end of the Island at about 1pm.
