Eastchurch man appears in court after stabbing at Shurland Dale Holiday Park on Sheppey

A man has appeared in court after a stabbing at a holiday park.

Police were called to the Shurland Dale site in Eastchurch, Sheppey, on Saturday, June 17.

Daniel Woods, 33, was charged with wounding with intent to Darren Welsh following the incident.

Woods, of Warden Road, Eastchurch, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.

He didn’t enter a plea to the charge and the case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with.

The Sheppey man was remanded in custody until his next hearing on Monday, July 17.

He was also charged with criminal damage and and threatning a person with an offensive weapon, but the charges weren’t put to him when he appeared in the dock.

He is expected to enter pleas in relation to the charges when he appears at the crown court.

Daisy Donohoe, of Burnell Avenue, Welling, was charged with assisting an offender after being arrested at her home.

The 35-year-old business adminstrator was bailed to a London address and her father, a retired taxi driver, is putting up £25,000 for surety.
