A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a late-night attack.

The 25-year-old, who suffered significant blood loss from a “traumatic injury” to his leg, was taken to Medway Maritime, Gillingham, for treatment.

It happened near the benches outside McDonald’s in Bridge Road, Sheerness, at about 10pm on Friday.

The victim has since been discharged from hospital.

McDonald’s say the attack did not take place in the restaurant.

A spokesman said: “We can confirm that an incident took place near our restaurant and that this is subject to an ongoing police investigation. “We cannot comment further at this time.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number XY/29246/15.
