Two men fled the scene of a car crash on foot earlier today in Sheerness.

Police were called to the incident involving a blue Audi A3 and a white Ford Escort van on Coronation Road at just before 11.30am.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The road remains closed at the junction with Richmond Street due to an oil spillage. No injuries were reported.

"Two men in the Audi are believed to have left the scene."
