A pub landlady has come up with a cheeky way to raise money for a charity close to her heart.

Caroline Ashworth, who runs The Beach in Minster with her husband Duane, is asking people to come up with suggestions for what she can get tattooed - on her bottom.

A fun day will be held at the venue in Seaside Avenue on bank holiday Monday and people are invited to pay £5 to put forward their ideas for the artwork.

Mrs Ashworth will then pick one out of an envelope and vows to have it etched on her rear - although there are a few ground rules such as no other men’s names or swear words.

The fun day is to raise money for the Victoria Cross Trust, which Mr Ashworth is a patron of.

His son, Grenadier Guard James, was posthumously awarded Britain’s highest military honour earlier this year after he died in Afghanistan last year.

It starts at 1pm and there will be live music, including a Beach Boys tribute band, a hog roast, barbecue, raffle, bouncy castle and more.

Mrs Ashworth, 32, said: “We are hoping to raise as much money as possible - all we need now is good weather.

“I must be mad - but it’s for a good cause.”
