Aesica in Queenborough, Sheppey, creates 40 high-skilled jobs after expansion of manufacturing facility for diabetes medication

A pharmaceutical company has created 40 high-skilled jobs.

Aesica is recruiting following a major expansion of its site in North Road, Queenborough.

The business took on 55 employees in March when production started at its new high-capacity manufacturing facility for diabetes medication.

Among the roles are vacancies for an engineering technical director and project engineer but there are also jobs for science students and people with pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.

Site director Terry Cooke said: “This is an exciting time as we continue to grow our Queenborough business.

“Aesica is seeking to cement its place as a key employer in the region and we are continue to provide increasing numbers of high skilled jobs that will contribute to the local economy.

“Queenborough is essential to our international business strategy and we look forward to deepening our relationship with the local community.”
