More housing planned for Halfway as the old dairy depot in Halfway Road is demolished

A former dairy has been demolished to make way for a proposed housing development.

The old Dairy Crest depot in Halfway Road, Halfway, closed in April 2006 and has been vacant ever since.

Last week the derelict building and an administration block were pulled down and the land cleared.

New Homes and Land Ltd plans to build four detached houses and 10 town houses, all with off road garages and parking, on the site.

It will be made up of 12 three-bedroom properties and two four-bedroom houses.

A planning application was submitted in 2010 but was later withdrawn.

The developer is now looking to re-submit its bid to Swale council.
