Halfway man Ashley McDonald charged with assaulting two PCs in Minster

A Sheppey man has been charged with assaulting a man and two police officers.

Police were called after reports a man had been run over in a car park in Millennium Way, Sheerness - leaving him needing hospital treatment for neck and back injuries.

A search was carried out it was alleged two officers were assaulted in Lady Winter Drive, Minster, at about 9.30pm on September 13.

Ashley McDonald, of William Rigby Drive, in Halfway, has been charged with assault by beating and two counts of assaulting a constable in the execution of duty.

The 28-year-old has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on January 21.
