A pervert who downloaded vile child sex abuse images and extreme porn involving adults having sex with animals has avoided an immediate jail sentence.

Michael Adach, of Trinity Road, Sheerness, admitted six offences of possessing indecent photos of a child and six of making indecent photos of a child in September last year.

They included 114 at the highest level of seriousness and video clips.

The 45-year-old also admitted possessing extreme pornographic images of a “person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal such as a horse, dogs and other farm animals”.

He was sentenced to eight months imprisonment suspended for two years. He will have to attend a sex offender programme and will be on the register for 10 years.

Judge Philip St John-Stevens said the images showed a large number of young and vulnerable victims.

He said of Adach’s mental health problems: “It is clear you were in a different place at the time of your offending. You were self-medicating with alcohol.

“That is no excuse but it gives some context. I note the steps you have taken to obtain assistance with your mental health.”
