Police appeal after Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution crashes into fence in Marine Parade in Sheerness

Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash involving a high-powered sports car.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution crashed in Marine Parade, Sheerness at about 1.40pm yesterday (Saturday, October 3).

A police spokesman said the car, the only vehicle involved, collided with a fence and a lamppost. No one was said to be seriously injured.

A spokesman for Japworx, a Sheppey-based club for owners of Japanese high-performance cars, such as the Evo, wanted to stress that the accident had not involved one of its members.

It is believed the car had recently been sold.
