Police cordoned off part of a car park today after a suitcase was found abandoned.
The green luggage was discovered in one of the parking bays next to a white van in Trinity Road car park, Sheerness, on Sheppey.
A PCSO stopped pedestrians from walking near it until a squad car arrived and another officer bundled it into the back seat.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a suspicious package in a car park off Sheerness High Street at 10.05am.
"Officers attended and enforced a cordon as a precaution.
"The package was deemed not to be a threat to public safety and has been removed."
