Police helicopter called to assist in the search for a suspect following a raid in Granville Road, Sheerness, this morning

A helicopter was called to help search for a suspect following a police raid this morning.

The pre-planned operation was carried out by officers in Granville Road, Sheerness, this morning.

The National Police Air Service helicopter was spotted circling the town at around 10.30am after it was called to help locate the suspect.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and remains in custody.
