Police want to speak to these men after a cafe was robbed

E-fit images of two men police want to speak to in connection with a violent robbery at a cafe have been released.

Last month we reported how Val Hook, who owns Poppy’s Cafe in Minster Road, Halfway, was threatened with a knife, hit on the back of the head and punched in the face while she was opening up for business for the day.

Money in the till, between £30 and £40, was taken before the two robbers fled when it happened at about 6.15am on Thursday, August 2.

Police are looking for a white, well-spoken man, in his late 40s, around 6ft tall with short, light brown hair.

He was wearing a blue jacket and a white top.

The other man was of eastern European appearance, around 5ft 6ins, with scruffy, short black hair.

He was wearing dark trousers and a burnt orange coloured T-shirt. He had a tattoo on his right arm.

Police have now released two e-fit images of the men they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.
