A BOY of 11 has been injured with what police believe was a razor blade in an assault in Sheerness. The incident in an alley at Wellesley Road at Sheerness.

Police, who are appealing for witnesses, have stressed that it was a serious assault. A spokesman said: "It is believed a razor blade was used in the assault to cut the boy and they also kicked him to cause bruising. We are taking this matter seriously and treating it as grievous bodily harm.

"The offenders probably do not realise the seriousness of their actions."

The victim was walking in the alley with a friend when they saw three older youths walking towards them. One of them bumped into the 11-year-old and an argument began.
