Merlins in Leysdown staged the annual Christmas lunch for senior citizens in Leysdown and Warden

Merlins staged the senior citizens’ Christmas lunch.

About 90 elderly people sat down for a festive dinner funded by Leysdown and Warden parish councils.

Guests enjoy their Christmas lunch.

It is the 12th time the venue has hosted the event and, as well as a tasty five-course meal, diners enjoyed live music.

Other attendees included Mayor of Swale Cllr George Bobbin and Mayoress Brenda Bobbin, as well as staff from Leysdown Post Office.

Cllr Pat Sandle (Con), ward member for Leysdown and Warden, who helped organise the dinner, said: “It was a lovely afternoon.

“We’ve had some good feedback and thanks to Merlins.”
