THE Sheerness Times Guardian entered a team in the Cancer Research Relay for Life as part of Local Newspaper Week.

Our team, News Hounds (pictured), was one of 10 to take part.

Team captain Emma Grove said: “Seeing all the survivors and the people who took part really put things into perspective, and together we all raised a fantastic amount for a really worthy cause.

“Well done to everybody who was involved, especially Lee and Joy Ewart who, with lots of help, organised the event.”
