The owner of a popular cake shop has been left feeling "violated" after thieves broke in and stole money.

The front door of The Abbey Cake Shop, in Chapel Street, Minster, was smashed and cash, including that kept in a charity tin and the store's tip jar, was taken.

It is understood Kent Police is investigating.
