Two in hospital after crash near BP petrol station in Queensborough Road, Halfway

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a van and a car.

Police were called to Queenborough Road, Halfway, between Saint Peters Church and the BP petrol station at 11.45am to reports of a crash.

The road was closed near Belmont Road and cars were turned in the opposite direction before being cleared at 1.20pm.

Police, paramedics and the fire service were all called to the incident.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended and two people were taken to hospital with injuries not reported to be serious."
