Sheerness: Multiple cars damaged in crash in Broad Street, near Rose Street Primary School

A number of cars have been damaged after a van is thought to have crashed into them in Sheerness.

Pictures have emerged showing a number of parked vehicles in Broad Street, near Rose Street Primary School, were smashed into at about 11.30am.

Thomas Walder, 27, of Kent Avenue in Minster, was charged with driving a vehicle while over the alcohol limit and driving without insurance.

He was bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, February 15.

She said: "I spoke to a man who saw it and said the man in the van got out and walked away.

"I spoke to a bystander who saw it happen who said the wheel came off the van."

Children in the nearby primary school were in class at the time of the smash.
