A mystery vandal targeted a branch of Barclays Bank overnight.

Staff arrived at their offices in Sheerness Broadway this morning to find a black and white protest poster plastered across the front window.

It said in capital letters: "Closed until further notice. We've moved offshore due to customers withdrawing money."

Vandals attacked Barclays Bank in Sheerness today with this protest poster across its main window.

Managers tried to remove the paper but discovered most of the letters had been stuck fast.

Staff quickly added their own temporary notice telling customers: "Please ignore this vandalism. We are open as usual at 9.30am."
