Woman cut free from car by Sheppey firefighters after crash in Marine Parade, Sheerness, this morning

A woman had to be cut free from a car on its side following a crash this morning.

She became trapped in a Vauxhall Corsa following an accident near the entrance to Barton's Point in Marine Parade, Sheerness, at around 7.50am.

Firefighters from the Sheppey station used hydraulic cutting equipment to release her by around 9am.

Police and ambulance crews were also in attendance and the woman was seen being treated by paramedics at the scene.

It is not known if she suffered any injuries. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
