Wendy King is in bullish spirits despite missing out on England’s Commonwealth Games squad.

The Halfway bowler was disappointed not to have made the five-woman squad, which heads to Glasgow in July.

But she said: "I’ll bounce back and I’m not done yet.

"I am disappointed not to have been selected but it was a fair process. They’ve made their choice and I’m not included.

"It’s something I have to take on the chin and move on. I wish the girls all the best and they are such a lovely bunch."

King suffered a double blow after tweaking her calf while playing for Kent on Saturday.

She is now hoping it won’t keep her out of the international tournament in Jersey, where she is due to skip one of the six England rinks.
