Sittingbourne man Simon Owen charged with burglary after computer and printer stolen

A man will appear in court next month accused of burglary after a computer and printer were stolen in January.

The items were taken from a business in Conqueror Court, Sittingbourne, on the night of Wednesday, January 27 and Thursday, January 28.

Following investigations the police arrested Simon Owen, 47, on Tuesday, on suspicion of the offence.

He was later charged with the offence as well as three additional shoplifting offences which are said to have happened at a supermarket in Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, on February 8, where £250 of alcohol was stolen.

Owen, of Porcelain Close, in the same town, was remanded in custody before appearing at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday.

He was released on bail following the hearing and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, March 17.
