Bargain-hunters were left disappointed when the grand opening of a new town centre Poundland was delayed.
Rather than finding shelves stocked with pound-priced produce, Sittingbourne shoppers heading to the High Street store this morning found the doors firmly shut.
Instead, there was a hand-written sign informing them the opening is delayed until Tuesday due to "technology problems", although it is unclear exactly what these issues are.
Poundland representatives have been contacted for comment.
