The mini-scooter confiscated by officers

POLICE seized a mini-motorised scooter from a 15-year-old boy as part of the continued fight against the anti-social use of motor vehicles.

The vehicles was confiscated shortly after noon on Thursday in Cavell Way, Sittingbourne.

The teenager had previously been warned about using the scooter anti-socially so as it was the second time he was spotted with the vehicle, officers used powers under the Police Reform Act to seize it.

The boy was also reported to Sittingbourne Magistrates Court for driving without a license, failing to wear a crash helmet and riding on the pavement.

PC Ann Jeffrey, who seized the scooter, said: "This kind of nuisance behaviour has a detrimental effect on people’s quality of life."
