AN investigation into a fire at a house in Sittingbourne in which a woman died has revealed the cause.

The body of the 42-year-old mother-of-two was found in her home in Park Drive.

Helen Bishop was found by firefighters after her boss and neighbours raised the alarm after she didn't come to work.

Crews went into the house with breathing equipment on, but the fire occurred the previous evening.

"The fire occurred the night before and by the time we were called it was cold."
