A car has overturned on the A249 near Sittingbourne.

Police were called at 2.44pm after the vehicle flipped on the Sheppey-bound carriageway between the Stockbury roundabout and the A2 turn-off at Key Street.

A man had to be taken to hospital but he was not believed to have been seriously hurt.

Traffic is queuing back beyond Stockbury while recovery of the stricken car is arranged.
