Part of the A249 between Detling and Sittingbourne closed following car crash

Part of the A249 near in between Sittingbourne and Detling was closed last night following a crash.

Police were called to the Stockbury area, near to the Hucking turn off, after a car was involved a single vehicle collision at around 9.40pm.

Part of the A249 was closed

A spokesman for the force said: "Officers attended and the carriageway was closed for a period of time. No serious injuries were reported."

The carriageway was reopened nearly an hour-and-a-half later, just after 11pm.
