Five injured in A249 crash near Stockbury

Detectives are appealing for information after five people were injured in a crash on the A249.

Three men were taken to a London hospital and a fourth to a local hospital in a serious condition while a fifth was teated for more minor injuries.

A Suzuki Alto and a VW Golf collided on the Maidstone-bound carriageway between the Stockbury roundabout and Hucking turnoff at 8.10pm.

The road was closed in both directions as paramedics, police and fire crews worked at the scene.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the vehicles immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
