There has been a three-car crash on the A249.

They collided on the Sheppey-bound carriageway just before the Key Street turn-off for Sittingbourne.

Delays in the area are expected.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was call at 12.46pm to reports of a collision involving three vehicles on the Sittingbourne bound A249 near Junction 5.

"Officers are at the scene and no injuries have been reported.

"One car left the scene before police attendance and enquiries are ongoing".
