Five-car crash on the A249 at Stockbury Roundabout near Sittingbourne causing long delays.

Police remain at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the A249.

It happened at about 9.15am near the Stockbury Roundabout on the Maidstone-bound carriageway.

Five cars were involved: a white Vauxhall Combo, a red Mercedes CLS, a white Ford Fiesta Zetec, a blue Mazda and a green Volkswagen Golf.

An ambulance and a medical car attended.

A SECamb spokesman said a "toddler" was treated for a facial injury but didn't need hospital treatment.

The carriageway was closed from the slip road at Key Street.

Lane two was opened by 9.50am, but long queues remain.
