Crash on M2 junction 5 for Sittingbourne causing delays

Drivers were facing delays earlier after a crash involving two cars.

Traffic is moving slowly along the M2 coastbound after collision involving a black BMW.

The incident happened at junction 5 for the Stockbury roundabout which is the main access point for people travelling to Sittingbourne, the Isle of Sheppey and Sheerness.

Traffic was initially backed up near junction 4 for Gillingham.

It is not thought anyone was seriously injured during the smash.

A police spokesman said: "A collision involving two cars was reported to us at 11.55am.

"Police have attended and there are no injuries both vehicles are now on the hard shoulder and no lanes are blocked."
