Water supplies have been restored to properties after a water main burst yesterday, causing a main road to flood.

A flood of water was gushing down Manor Road to The Street in Doddington causing the road to flood after the water main burst at about 1pm.

There was about six-inches of water in the road and engineers from South East Water were battling to stop it reaching people's homes.

About 100 properties were without water in the Bicknor, Frinsted, Wormshill and Doddington area but an engineer managed to restore supplies by about 2.30pm.
