NHS Blood and Transplant urges people in Sittingbourne and Sheppey to give blood in the new year

The new year is traditionally a time when resolutions are made.

People vow to eat better, exercise more and try to become the best version of themselves.

This year, instead of booking a new gym class, NHS Blood and Transplant is asking people in Sittingbourne to consider spending an hour of their time giving blood.

With each donation potentially saving or improving up to three lives, this good deed can help more people than your average resolution.

Sessions will be held at the following locations on the following dates:

The Coniston Hotel, 70 London Road, Sittingbourne ME10 1NT, Tuesday, January 13 2pm-4.30pm; 5.30pm-8pm; Thursday, February 12 - 2pm-4.30pm; 5.30pm-8pm and Friday, February 20 -2pm-4.30pm; 5.30pm-8pm.

And the UKP Leisure Club, Avenue Of Remembrance, Sittingbourne ME10 4DE on Sunday, February 1 - 9.30am-1.30pm.
