Police are at the scene of a broken down car on the A249 Sheppey Crossing.

Officers received a call at 3.44pm.

Eyewitnesses are reporting seeing as many as three ambulances on the scene, although it is unclear why.

The road is currently shut Island-bound and traffic is being diverted via the Kingsferry Bridge.
