Nearly 2,000 homes suffered a power cut yesterday (Monday) afternoon due to a fault on the electricity distribution network.

Supplies were interrupted to 1,849 homes in and around the area of Boxsted Lane, Newington, at 1.33pm.

EDF Energy Engineers managed to restore supplies to all but 10 customers in stages between 2.25pm and 3.48pm.
