Firefighters are at the scene of a house fire in Upchurch.

Three engines from Sittingbourne, Medway and Strood are tackling the blaze at a derelict house on Oak Lane.

It is understood police have closed the road and are managing traffic near the area.

Firefighters have been called to deal with the car fire.

An exclusion zone is also in place near overhead cables.

Witnesses say the roof has been completely destroyed and fire crews are damping down the building.

Firefighters were called to the scene just after 2pm.
