A former town centre Iceland store is on the market for more than £300k.

The Sittingbourne High Street building, which was home to the supermarket chain until July last year, is being sold by Clive Emson.

Being advertised as a substantial freehold commercial property the lot is up for grabs for £325,000 and is described as being close to both local and nationwide retailers and the mainline railway station.

A spokesman for Clive Emson said: “The property was previously let to Iceland on a long lease, but is now to be sold with vacant possession and may be suitable for a variety of schemes.”

There is an office/training room to the front of the first floor of the building which has its own separate access from the High Street – this is advertised as possibly being suitable for a self-contained flat if planning permission is obtained.

The spokesman added: “There are also large upper parts to the rear of the building which may offer potential for conversion, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”
