M2 traffic stretches back for miles after crash between Gillingham and Sittingbourne

Part of the M2 was closed for around four hours following a crash involving a coach and lorry.

Queues were stretching back around four miles after it happened on the coastbound stretch between Junction 4 for Gillingham and Junction 5 for Sittingbourne.

Police were called to the collision at around 11.30am.

Initially two lanes were closed before that was reduced to just one.

National Highways warned drivers to expect delays of about 15 minutes as they worked to clear the debris.

No injuries have been reported.
