A section of the A249 is now fully open following two multi-vehicle crashes this afternoon.

Traffic was earlier tailing back on the A249 southbound, just before the junction with the M2 at J5.

The accident involved two lorries and two cars, but now all lanes heading southbound are open.

The queues were made worse when there was a second crash involving three vehicles on the same road at Bobbing.

It was also heading southbound, near the junction with the B2006 Staplehurst Road, but has since cleared.
