Joe Dowley considers striker options ahead of Sittingbourne's derby with Faversham Town

A run of three straight goalless draws has forced Sittingbourne manager Joe Dowley to re-assess his options ahead of Tuesday’s Swale derby with Faversham Town.

Dowley admitted the barren spell was giving him real cause for concern, especially with gates at Bourne Park starting to dip under 100.

The Faversham game starts a run of three consecutive Kent derbies for Sittingbourne, who failed to break down struggling Burgess Hill last weekend.

Dowley admitted: "It’s becoming an issue. I am pleased with the clean sheets because a month ago we were conceding too many.

"We want to be winning games, though, especially at home to the third-bottom side in the league. It’s something we have to look at for the next game, although I don’t want to go gung-ho."

Striker Luke Coleman is back at Sittingbourne following a loan spell from Cray Wanderers. Elie Kayembe is still out injured and after bringing Joe Nwoko off the bench against Burgess Hill, Dowley could call on the former Sevenoaks striker again at Faversham.
