M2 coastbound traffic held between Sittingbourne and Faversham after crash between van and lorry

Motorway traffic was halted after a crash between a van and a lorry.

It happened on the M2 coastbound between Junction 5 at Sittingbourne and Junction 6 in Faversham at 8.25am today (December 1) .

Traffic was briefly held on the M2 coastbound between Sittingbourne and Faversham

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a collision involving a lorry and a van on the coastbound carriageway.

“Patrols and highways officers are currently at the scene where no injuries have been reported.”

Traffic was held while the vehicles involved in the crash were moved to the hard shoulder.

All lanes have since been reopened.
