Kemsley: Michael Packman, 66, charged with murder after 64-year-old woman found dead at home in Hurst Lane

A 66-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a home in Sittingbourne.

Officers were called to an address in Hurst Lane, Kemsley, in the early hours of Tuesday, July 31, where the 64-year-old woman's body was found.

The Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised a charge of murder against Michael Packman, 66, following an investigation by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

Mr Packman, of Hurst Lane, was taken to a London hospital following the incident but was discharged and taken into custody on Saturday, August 4.

He is due to appear before Medway magistrates on Monday, August 6.

Mr Packman and the woman who died were known to one another and officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
