A man has been charged with theft.

Shane Baker, of Bluebell Drive, Sittingbourne, was arrested in London Road on January 17, after he cycled away from officers.

Three bottles of alcohol were stolen at a shop in Sittingbourne on two occasions, once on January 7 and January 16.

The 30-year-old was charged and bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on February 15.

He was remanded in custody as he was wanted on a recall to prison.
