Man in his 40s left with broken jaw after assault in Sittingbourne alleyway

A man in his 40s has been left with a broken jaw following an assault in Sittingbourne.

He was walking from the High Street along an alley towards St Michael's Road between 10pm on Saturday, May 13 and 1amon Sunday, May 14 when he was allegedly assaulted from behind and lost consciousness.

He suffered a cut to his face and broken jaw, and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police are appealing for information about an assault in Sittingbourne.

The alley is between the High Street and the St John Ambulance Station by Sittingbourne Methodist Church.

Police are investigating.

It is believed there were a number of people in the High Street at the time.
